On august 2nd, when crown prosecutor attended the bail hearing of Marc Emery and Greg Williams she presented the evidence collected against Emery. She explained to the judge regarding what kind of surveillance was done and if the previous clients of Emery should be contacted.
The crown prosecutor revealed to the judge how US DEA agents came to Canada and went to BC Marijuana party store for almost a week before the bust. The agents told that they asked emery and Williams about purchasing marijuana seeds and how they can take the seeds along with them to US. They purchased as well as asked to send the seeds to a particular address in US.
The prosecutor also told the court that one of the DEA agents asked emery whether he could provide her with a few pounds of marijuana seeds for which he had a negative reply that he does not do that.
